CNC, a brand of the CMA CGM Group, is launching an enhanced intra-Asia service that will connect Japan with the Philippines and southern China. The new service, rebranded as JP8, will replace the company’s former CP3 service. Its first sailing is scheduled to depart from Davao on September 21.
The JP8 service introduces new port calls in Japan at Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, and Moji. The expansion provides importers and exporters with broader access to the Japanese market and creates a new direct link between East Japan and Philippine outports, a first for the market.
Optimized Routes for Time-Sensitive Cargo
The new service is designed to optimize transit times for both perishable and dry cargo. The new port rotation is:
Tokyo – Yokohama – Kobe – Moji – Shekou – Nansha – Subic Bay – Batangas – Cebu – Davao – Tokyo
The JP8 service will be exclusively operated by CNC, giving the company full operational control over capacity and reliability. The enhanced route is part of CNC’s strategy to meet growing customer demand and improve connectivity across its network.
