Contract extensions: Eisdesvik and Solstad ink long-term PSV deals

Eidesvik Offshore was awarded a three-year contract with Aker BP for platform supply vessel (PSV) Viking Prince under the companies’ frame agreement

 

Eidesvik president and chief executive Gitte Gard Talmo commented, “Aker BP is an important client for Eidesvik and our collaboration reaches beyond vessel contracts. Both companies are dedicated to reducing emissions, and we look forward to continuing our good co-operation on greener vessel operations.”

The contract for Viking Prince will commence after completion of the vessel’s ongoing contract with Equinor.

Solstad Offshore’s Normand Swan PSV has also secured a two-year firm contract. Solstad reported the term contract was signed with a “major energy company” which went unnamed. Normand Swan’s contract is scheduled to commence September 2022 and additional options are available to the client following the firm period.

Østensjø Rederi reported its light construction vessels Edda Fauna and Edda Flora have extended their charter with DeepOcean into 2023. In late May, DeepOcean also extended the charter for hybrid-powered construction vessel Edda Freya.

Offshore vessel firm Standard Supply entered into a new charter for PSV Standard Supplier. Standard Supply has secured a 7-10 week charter supporting an unnamed European energy company from mid-August, with day rates in the range of €30,000 (US$30,000) per day. Standard Supply is expected to list on Euronext Growth 22 July 2022.
