The new line, operated by the subsidiary New Golden Sea Shipping, strengthens direct connections in Southeast Asia and will start at the end of October

Beijing – Cosco Shipping Lines, through its Southeast Asian subsidiary New Golden Sea Shipping (Ngss), will introduce a new maritime service called “Jtv” at the end of October, which will connect Japan, Southern China, Thailand, and Southern Vietnam.

The new connection will have a four-week rotation, with calls at the ports of Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nansha, Laem Chabang (Sri Racha – Kerry Siam Terminal), Ho Chi Minh City (SP-ITC), Yangpu, Shekou and back to Kobe.

For the moment, Cosco has announced the deployment of two ships: the Inspire (1,785 teu), which will inaugurate the service on October 28 from Kobe, and the Inessa (1,762 teu).

The new Jtv service will improve direct coverage between Japan, Thailand, and Southern Vietnam, integrating with the existing regional network. Until now, Cosco served this route through the “Ctj” service, offered in collaboration with the subsidiary Oocl and linked to its Ktx2 circuit.

The presence of the port of Yangpu as a transit hub will also allow for a broader connection with Cosco’s global network, enhancing intermodality and the efficiency of intra-Asian traffic.
