Cosco Shipping Development recorded a net profit attributable to shareholders of 420.4 million CNY (57.6 million dollars) in the third quarter of 2025, which meant a reduction of 13.42%, compared to the same period the previous year. The period’s revenue also fell 9.92% year-on-year, reaching 7.310 billion yuan.
In the period from January to September, the company’s profits fell 1.54% to 19.570 billion yuan. However, the firm considered it a slight decrease and that performance remained stable, compared to the same stage in 2024, reported Baird Maritime.
During this period, the firm’s total profit was 1.780 billion yuan, improving 13.71% in the year-on-year contrast. The net profit attributable to shareholders was 1.390 billion yuan, an increase of 0.71%.
The net profit, excluding extraordinary gains or losses, showed a more solid underlying growth during the nine-month period, rising 20.99% to reach 1.360 billion yuan.
However, the net cash flow from operating activities during the first nine months decreased 38.96% to 2.630 billion CNY, which the company attributed mainly to a year-on-year increase in raw materials purchased for the growth of orders in its container business.
As of September 30, 2025, the group’s total assets amounted to 131.790 billion yuan with an increase of 4.29% compared to the end of 2024. The total equity attributable to shareholders was 30.710 billion yuan, 1.38% more than at the end of the previous year.
