The sailings will take place in March 2024 before the region’s tourist season kicks in, for fewer crowds
CroisiEurope has launched a new itinerary for 2024, through the cradle of ancient civilisation taking in the mythology of ancient Greece and Meteora.

The voyages take place in March when there are fewer crowds in the region, says CroisiEurope, meaningfewer crowds and easier accessto sites.

Itinerary

The seven-night cruise onboard the 198-passenger La Belle de l’Adriatique sails round-trip from Athens with calls in Gythion, Katakolon and Igoumenitsa. All excursions are included, such as visits to The Acropolis, UNESCO World Heritage Site Mystras – the centre of Byzantine power in the 13th century – and the ancient city of Sparta. Also included are trips to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games, Meteora, where dozens of monasteries built on rock formations can be seen, and Poseidon’s temple at Cape Sounion.

Onboard, passengers will continue immersion into local culture with a Greek lunch on the sun deck accompanied by traditional Bouzouki music, as well as an evening of Greek folklore.

There are four departures in 2024: March 8, 15, 22 and 29. Customers can save £533 per person or no single supplement if the booking is made before January 15. Prices are from £1,690 per person.
