DHL Industrial Projects transported a debutanizer tower from Spain, to Texas, in the United States.
The debutanizer tower, used to separates butane from natural gas during the refining process, measured 44.75 metres by 6.63 metres by 6.97 metres. It was transported along with multiple accessories. Due to the cargo dimensions it took several months to develop, review and agree on the safest transportation method.
In the end, the DHL team used the tandem lift method to load the cargo under the deck of a Jumbo Maritime vessel. The cargo was delivered safely, on time, and below the original budget.
