Diamond Line launches GBX 2.0 with dual German hubs and first Gdynia call on 18 October

Must read

Diamond Line, the intra-Europe feeder arm of COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Europe), announced changes to its German Baltic Express (GBX) service.

The company is converting GBX into a 21-day “butterfly” loop covering Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Kotka, Helsinki, Klaipėda and Gdynia.

According to the company, the service will now rotate through DEBRV – DEHAM – FIKTK – FIHEL – DEBRV – DEHAM – LTKLJ – PLGDY. This means that Gdynia replaces Gdańsk as the Polish port of call. Diamond Line said the first Gdynia call is scheduled for 18 October.

The launch voyage will be operated by MV FREDERIK (voyage 412N), which is expected to arrive in Bremerhaven on 7 October.

In its announcement, Diamond Line described GBX 2.0 as “a streamlined 21-day butterfly loop” aimed at delivering “enhanced schedule reliability” and aligning capacity with demand.

Diamond Line GmbH is a Hamburg-based shipping company that consolidates COSCO SHIPPING Lines’ intra-Europe feeder and short-sea operations. It manages regional services across European ports, focusing on hub connections in Hamburg and Bremerhaven.

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Europe) GmbH is the European subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co., Ltd., a Chinese state-owned shipping company. The European arm is responsible for container shipping operations, customer services and feeder network management across more than 25 countries.
