Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) hasconfirmed that five 22,000 TEU containerships have been ordered byMediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) for KRW 926.6 billion or USD 817 million.
The South Korean shipbuilder had announced that it bagged the order in a regulatory filing on Thursday.As revealed, the contract includes options for six more units, with the overall value of the contract set to reach around USD 1.8 billion.
