Karlskrona-Gdynia route receives a boost in capacity and efficiency, with the two largest E-Flexer ferries being deployed in 2022
Stena Line´s newest addition to the fleet, Stena Estelle, is currently at Remontowa shipyard in Gdansk for final adjustments, before taking up its regular service on the Gdynia-Karlskrona route. The first departure is planned for 4 September from Gdynia.
“We are very excited to introduce our new ferry Stena Estelle, which will boost our offer for both freight customers and passengers. This all-new vessel is the most modern in our fleet and unmatched in capacity, efficiency design and service setup. With new ferries such as Stena Estelle and its twin vessel Stena Ebba, which will arrive in Poland in November this year, we are opening up new opportunities, not only for the development of our company and the Gdynia-Karlskrona route, but also for the growth of our customers’ businesses in this part of Europe”, said Stena Line trade director, Baltic Sea South, Marek Kiersnowski.
Stena Estelle and its sister Stena Ebba are the two largest E-Flexer ferries ever built and will provide a boost to the Karlskrona-Gdynia route’s capacity. The 240-m long ship offers 263 cabins, space for 1,200 passengers and an overall freight capacity of 3,600 lane metres, which means 15% more cargo versus current E-Flexers.
