Singapore – Eastern Pacific Shipping (Eps), a Singapore-based shipowner, has commissioned Hengli Heavy Industry with a package of 12 newbuilds comprising six VLCCs, two LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tankers and four 6,000 teu container ships. Hengli emphasized that the order testifies to Eps’s appreciation for its construction capabilities and represents a further step forward in the high-tech ship segment.
Since the beginning of September, the shipyard has secured numerous new contracts, ranging from container ships to bulk carriers and tankers. By November, the total orders received during the year are approaching 100, with a workload already committed until 2029.
Hengli stated that, as a major private entity in Chinese shipbuilding, it continues to achieve significant results in the construction of high-end ships, thanks to technological innovation, production capacity, and competitive delivery times, factors that have allowed it to gain the trust of major international shipping companies.
