Must read

The Board of Directors of the Valencia Port Authority has selected the joint offer submitted by the commercial companies Ership, Intersagunto and Compañía General de Compras Agropecuarias (CGCA) for the granting of an administrative concession for the construction and operation of the solid bulk terminal (excluding clinker and cement) in the port of Sagunto. The objective of this project is to boost local and regional economic activity by attracting new investments and operators in the field of solid bulks compatible with current port operations.

The high score specifically given to the environmental criterion within the qualitative section highlights the importance that the Valencia Port Authority attributes to the protection of the environment and the promotion of responsible and sustainable initiatives. The Board of Directors has also approved the request from the company Garbaport to expand the area they have under concession for the construction and operation of a solid waste sorting plant, whose objective is the thorough segregation of waste managed by the port of Valencia. This expansion aligns with the Port Authority’s strategy aimed at increasing the functional and operational value of its facilities.
