ESG-NRG, a carbon removal marketplace, has joined Dataloy Systems’ Partner Program as a Master Partner.
The integration combines Dataloy’s Voyage Management System (VMS) with ESG-NRG’s Marine Offset Platform (MOP) to enable ESG-NRG to automatically receive route, cargo, and bunkering data and calculate the carbon footprint of freight. By streamlining operational data flows between Dataloy and ESG-NRG, shipping companies can focus their energy on discovering carbon removal projects that align with their environmental goals and leading their own net zero discussions with cargo owners.
”With so many stakeholders engaged in ESG matters both within and outside of an organisation, we needed a solution to decrease manual data input while maximising sustainable decision-making.” “With a single click, you can begin reducing carbon from your marine activities, whether you have one ship or fifty. It’s quite exciting!” said Janek Ekeli, CEO of ESG-NRG. “This integration will substantially support our efforts to scale Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) in accordance with the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) projection of 100-1000 GtCO2 of removals required to keep global temperature increase well below 2 degree Celsius.”
“Zero-emission is not completely possible today – some carbon footprints cannot be entirely avoided based on today’s technology. Today’s launch is an important part of our larger environmental sustainability strategy, which aims to empower customers to take action on climate change by offsetting their emissions through accredited projects that provide clear benefits to people and the planet. Our goal is to help achieve carbon neutrality and ultimately Net Zero, and collaborating with ESG-NRG is exciting for us and our customers,” commented Hege Jacobsen, head of partner relations at Dataloy Systems.
