US law enforcers claimed that they had discovered what they believed could be a priceless Fabergé egg on luxury yacht Amadea (IMO 1012531), nominally owned by sanctioned Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov, but recently seized by the US as part of its sanctions actions against Russia.
Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco said that the egg, if authentic, could be one of the few undiscovered pieces in the world and potentially worth millions.
The FBI has also claimed that it had found “crucial evidence” on board the yacht to incriminate Kerimov in money-laundering activities.
2016-built, USA-flagged, 4,402 gt Amadea is owned and managed by National Maritime Services Inc of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. It is entered with American Club
