Samsø Municipality has hired Carsten Kruse as traffic director. He thus returns to a job he left in 2021 for a position as commercial director at Aarhus Port.
When Carsten Kruse on January 1st takes up the position as traffic director in Samsø Municipality with responsibility for both Samsø Rederi and Samsø Bus, it is a job he knows quite well.
Carsten Kruse was in fact the first director for Samsø Rederi, which was established in 2014. He left the job in 2021 and was succeeded by Lars Rieks, who however was fired in January 2024. His successor Henrik Renneberg took over the position in May this year, after it had been vacant for over a year. But he left the job again already in September this year.
According to a press release from Samsø Municipality, the dismissal was based on disagreement about the managerial scope that exists as traffic director in the municipality.
Now Samsø Municipality is bringing Carsten Kruse “home” from Aarhus Port, where he has been commercial director for four years.
