Fednav ships superyacht structures from Antwerp to Milwaukee

Must read

The Montreal-based maritime transportation company, Fednav Limited, shipped superstructures for a 37 metres superyacht, weighing 40 tonnes. The cargo was shipped from Belgium to the United States aboard the Federal Cedar bulk carrier ship.

The three superstructures were lifted from a pontoon onto the Federal Cedar, using the vessel’s four 35 MT cranes. Built in 2016 in Oshima, Japan, the ship has a carrying capacity of 34564 tonnes DWT. It measures 199.98 metres in length and 23.82 metres in width.

The Federal Cedar is owned by Fednav Atlantic Lakes Line (FALLine), which operates a scheduled cargo liner service from Europe to the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence system in North America. Specifically, this cargo was brought to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the mid-western United States. The cargo was unloaded at Federal Marine Terminals, which, located in SouthEastern Wisconsin, is approximately 150 kilometres north of Chicago.
