The Fesco Transportation Group delivered over 23,000 TEU from China to Russia via the Dostyk and Altynkol border crossings (Republic of Kazakhstan) in the first eight months of this year.
In terms of shipment volume on this route, FESCO is the leader among all logistics providers. The Group’s global market share was 14%, double that of the same period last year.
Railway transportation on these routes is organized in collaboration with Chinese platforms and agencies. The main cities of departure are Xi’an, Chongqing, Hefei, Tongshan, Zengcheng, Guangzhou, and Chengdu.
“The volume of transportation from China by land is currently growing at a faster rate than that of sea routes. Transit shipments through Kazakhstan play an important role in this process. The list of goods transported by this route is very broad: from automobiles to most of the products found on store shelves: electronics, clothing, and footwear. We see significant growth opportunities in this logistics segment and are developing our own capacity to manage shipments between Russia and China along the main trunk routes,” said German Maslov, Deputy General Director of the Linear Logistics Division of Fesco.
One of the Group’s main routes for the transportation of land cargo to Russia from China is the regular Fesco Asia Landborder Shuttle (FALB) rail service.
