Fincantieri, Certificates for Italian language courses for foreign workers awarded in Marghera

Marghera – The certificate award ceremony for the Italian language courses promoted and funded by Fondazione Fincantieri, intended for foreign workers of the supply chain companies, took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera. The event celebrated the achievement of over 50 participants who successfully completed the training program, with a total duration of 50 hours, structured into 20 sessions of two and a half hours each.

Attending the ceremony were Marco Lunardi, director of the Marghera shipyard, Paolo Tosi, HR business partner of the Marghera shipyard, Elisa Olivier, head of talent acquisition, learning, development and talent management at Fincantieri. Representing the Dante Alighieri society was the language projects manager, Lorenzo Rocca.

The courses, promoted by Fondazione Fincantieri in collaboration with the Dante Alighieri society, are an integral part of the everyDEI program, the project through which the group has made its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion a pillar of its identity. The project began in November 2024 at the Monfalcone and Sestri Ponente shipyards. Since then, 400 hours of training have been delivered, and over 150 workers have completed the training program. The courses will continue in the coming months, with new sessions also involving the Ancona shipyard starting from September 2025 and the integrated shipyard of Riva Trigoso and Muggiano from October 2025.

Luciano Sale, human resources and real estate director of Fincantieri, commented: “The language course project is not just a simple training program but a concrete bridge toward integration, safety, and personal growth for supply chain workers, in line with a group strategy aimed at promoting a corporate culture based on respect and inclusivity.
