Hilli Episeyo, the world’s first converted floating liquefaction (FLNG) vessel is now ready for marine commissioning, stated owner and operator of LNG carriers Golar LNG.
The said vessel, after reaching mechanical completion, departed Keppel Shipyard on October 1 andhas been moved to the deep-water anchorage where Keppel Shipyard will complete final marine commissioning.
Hilli Episeyo, designed for a liquefaction capacity of approximately 2.4 million tons of LNG annually, is expected to leave Singapore between October 15 and 20.
The ship will operate offshore Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon SA. It is the first FLNGV project in Africa.
Hilli Episeyo was named on July 2, 2017. It was converted from a 1975-built Moss LNG carrier with a storage capacity of 125,000 cubic meters.
