Fit Cisl satisfied after the meeting with Vado Gateway

Must read

There is optimism in the words dedicated by Fit Cisl following the meeting with the Savona-based company Vado Gateway in the presence of category and confederal managers aimed at verifying the trends and development prospects of the Vado-Ligure port terminal.

“Despite the uncertain context of recent years, 2025 has proven to be substantially a positive year, confirming a trend of growth and gradual consolidation of employment in line with the increase or distribution of traffic. Regarding 2026, work is underway to confirm volumes as well as to find new opportunities determined by the reopening of the Suez Canal and the recovery of some markets. Also from the point of view of infrastructure useful for the development of the terminal, there are some positive signals regarding the resumption of the process for the construction of the Bossarino tollgate, the progress of works for the adaptation of the fast-flow road and some adjustments to the structures and railway connections,” explained a union note.

“Regarding the future of Reefer Terminal (controlled by the same group, ed.), although no reassurances have been given, the CEO has shown moderate optimism about the possibility of recovering the investment project for the fresh warehouse. As Cisl and Fit Savona we have reiterated the need to enhance trade union dialogue on employment issues with the category federation to monitor hirings and consolidations and with the confederation on the development aspects of an important economic reality not only for the province but for an entire area of the country,” explained the Cisl Savona manager Simone Pesce and the territorial secretary of Fit Cisl Liguria Danilo Causa.
