Flex Commodities hires Aicha Azad as trader in Dubai

Marine fuels trading firm Flex Commodities DMCC has appointed Aicha Azad as a trader, the company announced on November 3.

Azad, who joins Flex’s Dubai office, brings three years of relevant experience from Gibraltar, where she managed cargo operations and performed bunker trading activities for bunker supplier Peninsula.

Prior to this, Azad served as Marine Inspector at Bureau Veritas and as Deck Cadet with Naviera Armas and Boluda Corporación Marítima.

She holds a degree in Nautical Science and Maritime Transport from the University of Cádiz, combining technical maritime expertise with commercial experience.

Azad is fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic, and French, adding multilingual capabilities to the firm’s trading desk.

Headquartered in the UAE, Flex Commodities specializes in marine fuels trading and cargo logistics. Last week, the firm announced the hire of April Tan as lead trader for China, based in its Singapore office. Several other trader appointments have also been made in Dubai and Greece in recent months.
