The recognition from Confindustria has been obtained by the Neapolitan shipowner for the eighth consecutive year
For the eighth consecutive year, Confindustria has awarded the Grimaldi Group the Bollino per l’Alternanza di Qualità, a prestigious recognition dedicated to all companies that have chosen the training of new generations as a fundamental value, transforming it into an innovative cultural vision and actively supporting the transition of young people from the world of school to the world of work.
“For some years now, we have been witnessing a renewed interest in maritime professions, which are a real laboratory of skills in continuous evolution – declared Francesca Marino, head of Passenger Department – More and more Italian young people are identifying our sector as a great opportunity and are choosing it for their professional future, sharing with us the attention for technological innovation and environmental protection. The recognition that Confindustria has also awarded to the Grimaldi Group this year rewards our constant commitment alongside the new generations: Grimaldi Educa is in fact a project we are proud of because it allows the world of school to open up to the great lesson of the sea, in a path made of enthusiasm and discovery”.
Grimaldi Lines has brought together all the initiatives dedicated to Italian students in the Grimaldi Educa project. The core is the Percorsi di Formazione Scuola-Lavoro (FSL), which are aimed at all fields of study – particularly nautical, hotel, tourism, and vocational institutes – and combine theoretical and practical learning, skills and fun. The paths are always customizable based on the needs expressed by individual Institutes, to inspire in young people a true passion for the sea and navigation.
Alongside the School-Work Training Paths, there are also the educational programs – the very fun onboard events, which see the participation of thousands of students from all over Italy every year – and the proposal for educational trips to Sicily, Sardinia, Spain, and Greece, with the possibility of choosing only the crossing, or a complete package of travel by ship and stay with Grimaldi Lines Tour Operator.
