Fugro to implement digital logbooks fleet-wide following trial

Must read

Fugro has agreed a deal to roll out the NAPA Logbook system across its global fleet following a trial on selected vessels.

The electronic logbook will standardise and automate data recording for daily operations, with the aim of improving data quality for both onboard and shoreside reporting, while reducing administrative workload for crew and increasing overall efficiency.

Fugro has customised the system to align with its operational requirements, with the logbooks in use for deck and engine control room entries, as well as environmental and safety management documentation, with the aim of improving long-term performance tracking.

“NAPA demonstrated during the trial phase that its electronic solution supports the crew onboard and improves data quality,” said Julia Korpak, Global Fleet QHSSE Manager at Fugro.

“This technology and the valuable data it can gather also contributes to our digitalisation efforts, underpinning our roadmap to net-zero scope one, two and three carbon emissions by 2050.”
