Fuzhou Port Jiangyin Port Area Ro-Ro First Voyage to South Africa and Tanzania

Must read

Recently, ro-ro ship operations at the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port have been consistently conducted at a high frequency, presenting a busy scene for automobile export channels. The vessels “An Ji 32” and “Liu Jiang Kou” berthed successively for operations; the following day, the “Yu Heng Xian Feng” arrived smoothly at the port. Within just two days, three ro-ro ships operated consecutively, and 2,280 Chery Jetour vehicles were loaded efficiently in batches, setting off for overseas markets.

It is worth mentioning that this marks the maiden voyage of the “Yu Heng Xian Feng” from the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port to South Africa and Tanzania. This is the first time Fuzhou Port’s ro-ro ocean shipping route has been extended to South Africa and Tanzania, signifying that Fuzhou Port has added another efficient and convenient sea channel for BRICS economic and trade cooperation. This series of intensive and highly efficient ro-ro operations not only demonstrates the exceptional operational efficiency of the Jiangyin Port Area but also highlights its strong momentum as a core hub for automobile exports along the southeastern coast.

This automobile shipment is an important part of Chery’s expansion into overseas markets and further confirms the maturity and efficiency of Fuzhou Port’s integrated “vehicle-port-shipping” collaborative model. Through precise coordination and efficient collaboration with ro-ro shipping companies, Fuzhou Port Container (福港集箱) continuously compresses the overall logistics time, providing strong support for automobile manufacturers going global.

In the future, Fuzhou Port Container will further draw on the experience of “factory-port linkage” to promote closer scheduling coordination between the port area and inland automobile manufacturing bases, continuously improve the construction of the “doorstep” export channel, and provide solid support for more “Made in Fujian” automobiles to set sail for the global market.
