Goltens Worldwide and Dutch company Ipco Power have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to jointly support shipowners in achieving more efficient and sustainable fuel operations.

The partnership combines Ipco Power’s fuel homogenisation technology with Goltens’ global engineering and service capabilities, offering shipowners an integrated solution from 3D scanning and technical design to installation, commissioning and long-term lifecycle support.

Ipco Power MD Bart Sluimer said: “More and more often, clients are asking for complete packages, not just equipment. Thanks to our partnership with Goltens, we can now deliver full-scope projects worldwide – from technical design to commissioning – that can fully unburden the customer.”

At the heart of Ipco Power’s offering is a field-proven rotor-stator homogeniser, which can reduce fuel droplet sizes to below 3 microns for enhanced fuel performance. This core technology supports a wide range of applications, and is claimed to enable shipowners to achieve tangible benefits including:

By combining these capabilities with Goltens’ experience in retrofits and turnkey project execution, the collaboration addresses increasing demand for practical, scalable solutions that deliver efficiency and compliance – especially for existing vessels seeking efficiency gains without major engine modifications.

Goltens Worldwide CEO Sandeep Seth said: “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to helping shipowners navigate the twin challenges of efficiency and decarbonisation. By combining Ipco’s proven homogenisation technology with Goltens’ global execution capabilities, we are delivering solutions that reduce costs, improve fuel flexibility and support the transition to cleaner operations.”
