Guangzhou Shipbuilding International, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has delivered the fourth LNG dual-fuel crude /product tanker to the Bank of Communications Financial Leasing (Bocomm Leasing).
As informed, the delivery ceremony for the 110,000 dwt dual-fuel vessel Proteus Bohemia was held on 24 November. This is the third newbuild delivered by GSI since the resumption of workafter Covid 19 pandemic.
For the first time, a new type of gas supply system was incorporated into the ship’s design. The design and construction teams participated in the commissioning of the ship’s LNG system and coordinated and dealt with technical problems. The optimization of the “oil and gas two-in-one” mode trial program has been inspected.
The company’s dual-fuel propulsion team carried out the LNG bunkering work independently, marking the company’s first independent operation to complete the LNG bunkering.
To remind, GSI delivered the third vessel in a series of eight LNG dual-fuel tankers in September this year. The vessel was named MT Proteus Philippa. The other two LR2 tankers are named Proteus Harvonne and Proteus Sinead.
