Guangzhou Shipyard International signed procurement contracts exceeding 700 million yuan at the maritime exhibition.

On December 4th, at the 2025 China International Maritime Technology Academic Conference and Exhibition, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) partnered with CSSC Engine Co., Ltd., the 704th Research Institute of CSSC, the 711th Research Institute of CSSC, Qingdao Sunrui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd., Kongsberg Maritime AS, and other partners to sign procurement contracts with a total value exceeding 700 million yuan.

Leaders and distinguished guests attending the procurement contract signing ceremony included Zhang Minzhong, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Accountant of CSSC Engine Co., Ltd.; Sun Yuxiang, Deputy Director of the 704th Research Institute of CSSC; Qiu Aihua, Deputy Director of the 711th Research Institute of CSSC; Yu Jiangshui, General Manager of Qingdao Sunrui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd.; Zhao Xiaofeng, Deputy General Manager of Qingdao Sunrui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd.; Brynjulv Stangal, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific at Kongsberg Maritime AS; and Jin Lichao, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Shipyard International.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Jin Lichao pointed out that holding this signing ceremony is not only a new starting point for CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International and its partners to advance hand in hand, but also a significant step in promoting the green transformation and intelligent upgrade of the international maritime industry. Against the backdrop of the global shipping industry’s transition towards green, low-carbon, and intelligent development, Guangzhou Shipyard International, together with its partners, will deepen technical exchanges, expand cooperation areas, and jointly create more efficient, intelligent, and environmentally friendly ship solutions, injecting more innovative vitality into the shipbuilding industry. Taking this signing as an opportunity, Guangzhou Shipyard International will adhere to the principle of “sincere cooperation and mutual benefit,” go all out to promote the implementation of the projects, ensure the success of every cooperation, and contribute more strength to the high-quality development of the global maritime industry.

Witnessed by the leaders and guests present at the signing ceremony, Guangzhou Shipyard International signed a main engine contract with CSSC Engine, a power propulsion system contract with the 704th Research Institute, an LNG gas supply system procurement contract with the 711th Research Institute, an LNG gas supply system contract with Qingdao Sunrui, and a shaft and propeller propulsion system contract with Norway’s Kongsberg Maritime AS.

Guided by the in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and closely following the CSSC Group’s “1-1-7-8” overall requirements and strategic deployment, Guangzhou Shipyard International actively practices the cultural concept of “CSSC Group, Leading the Deep Blue,” fully, accurately, and comprehensively implements the new development philosophy, courageously shoulders the responsibility as the “chain leader” of the industrial chain, continuously strengthens supply chain construction, promotes significant progress in supply chain management levels, and markedly enhances the resilience and security of the supply chain. Signing large-scale procurement contracts with sister enterprises this time also fully demonstrates Guangzhou Shipyard International’s sense of responsibility as the “chain leader” of the industrial chain.
