Gulftainer Launches GT Lines’ new Intra-Gulf Express service

Gulftainer has announced that GT Lines will launch its Intra-Gulf Express (IGX) service in December. According to the company, the new short-sea route will link Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq via Umm Qasr ICT – GT Terminal.

IGX will operate weekly fixed-day sailings on optimized routes with short lead times, aiming to support quick turnarounds and consistent schedules.

The service is intended to strengthen GCC connectivity, reduce transit times, and support regional trade growth through cost-efficient and sustainable shipping options.

Gulftainer is a privately owned port management and logistics company headquartered in the United Arab Emirates. It operates and manages container terminals and logistics facilities in several countries, working under concession agreements with port authorities. The company provides services such as container handling, warehousing, inland transport, and supply-chain management.
