Haitong Ocean Lays Keel for 63,500-ton Bulk Carrier for Guohang Ocean

On October 22, the keel laying ceremony for the Air Ocean 63500DWT bulk carrier (JSHT338) was held at Jiangsu Haimen’s Nantong shipyard, marking the official commencement of the hull structure construction.

Air Ocean’s Chief Engineer Han Qing, Jiangsu Haimen’s Chairman Jin Xing, and CCS resident surveyor Li Fangli signed on behalf of the three parties.

The vessel has an overall length of 199.9m, a molded breadth of 32.26m, a molded depth of 18.9m, and a scantling draft of 13.5m. The 63500DWT series bulk carriers feature lower fuel consumption and superior economic performance, representing a safe, efficient, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly type of bulk carrier.

Personnel from Air Ocean, Jiangsu Haimen, the CCS shipyard project team, and Shanghai Shuangxi Maritime Development Co., Ltd. participated in the ceremony.
