According to Kunming Customs, in the first half of this year, the import and export freight volume of Lancang-Mekong international shipping reached 125,700 tons, with a value of 1.547 billion yuan, representing year-on-year growth of 92.8% and 136.5%, respectively. As a “golden waterway” connecting China with Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, the rapid development of Lancang-Mekong international shipping has vigorously promoted trade and cultural exchanges among member countries of the Greater Mekong Subregion, injecting strong momentum into advancing the “Belt and Road” initiative.
