Singapore-based iO3 reports that it has agreed a strategic partnership with Korean company Seadronix to integrate AI-powered navigation technology into its V.Sight platform, with the aim of supporting improved hazard detection and situational awareness on board ships.

The new V.Sight AI-Assisted Navigation system will incorporate Seadronix’s Rec-SEA AI module to add real-time visual recognition and risk detection capabilities to iO3’s existing digital infrastructure.

“By embedding Seadronix’s AI capabilities into our V.Sight platform, we are providing ship owners, captains, and crews with a powerful new tool to enhance navigation safety,” said Kenny Koh, CEO and Founder of iO3.

“Our joint solution not only improves risk detection but also delivers actionable insights in real-time, helping bridge teams make informed decisions in complex and dynamic marine environments.”

Pilot installations of the system are expected to begin in the coming months, ahead of a broader commercial rollout. The companies note that they also plan to explore additional functionality in future, including object classification, traffic pattern analysis and predictive routing.
