Chief Commercial Officer Isis Ruiz and VP Human Resources Christina Hobbs are leaving American Queen Voyages.
‘I’d like to recognize them both. Their expertise and their contributions have been significant, and they’ll still be dear to the company,’ said Cindy D’Aoust, recentlyappointed president of AQV.
Ruiz hasserved in the newly created role of chief commercial officer the past six months. Seatrade Cruise News understands she will be joining another company.
Previously, Ruiz was with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings for more than a decade, until October 2021.
Hobbs has been VP human resources based at American Queen Voyages’ former headquarters in New Albany, Indiana, since mid-2011 and also oversaw HR for sister company HMS Maritime until December 2018.
Recruiting for several VP roles
The company is recruiting for successors, with all positions expected to be based in the Fort Lauderdale office.
The CCO role will go away.
D’Aoust hopes to build ‘broader bench strength’ by hiring vice presidents of marketing, guest experience and revenue. Those positions, along with sales (VP Kevin Smith) will report directly to her, as will HR.
A new VP revenue will report to Mostafa Beshir, VP finance & accounting.
