Recently, the “Jiangsu Province Work Plan for Promoting the Gradient Cultivation of Multimodal Transport Enterprises” (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”) and its supporting policies were issued, and the first list of key cultivation leading enterprises in multimodal transport was announced. Nineteen enterprises, including Jiangsu Provincial Port Group, Provincial International Freight Train Company, Lianyungang Port Holding Group, CIMC Global Services, CMST Development, and Jiangsu Feili Da, were listed.
The “Plan” specifies the establishment of a working mechanism characterized by “provincial-municipal linkage, gradient cultivation, categorized policy implementation, and fostering models.” It integrates support measures across multiple aspects such as resource coordination, brand excellence, digital empowerment, financial services, policy funding, and factor guarantees. The aim is to comprehensively optimize the development environment, assist enterprises in enhancing their industry competitiveness and service capabilities, and cultivate approximately 15 comprehensive multimodal transport leading enterprises and a group of specialized multimodal transport leading enterprises by 2030.
The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation will collaborate with various localities to establish a key enterprise contact system and a service specialist mechanism. Designated service specialists and dedicated teams will be assigned to provide “point-to-point”对接对接 services, ensuring timely response and efficient handling of enterprise requests. This will help enterprises grow larger and stronger, accelerating the high-quality development of multimodal transport across the province.
