Jumbo-SAL-Alliance recently carried out a shipment from Dubai to Ghana that will improve the Takoradi Port’s turnaround time for operations. The alliance’s heavy lift vessel Fairpartner delivered two shiploaders and one hopper, on time.
The Jumbo-SAL-Alliance team of engineers planned the lifting of this oversized cargo. First, the crew loaded the equipment in Jebel Ali, Dubai. With the two shiploaders measuring 28 x 20 x 62 metres and weighing 413 tonnes each and the eco hopper measuring 19 x 20 x 18 metres and weighing 200 tonnes, this was not any ordinary lift. Precision lifting, perfect placement on deck and careful seafastening were critical.

Offloading this equipment in dual lift went smoothly in Takoradi, Ghana, with operations supervised by Cargo Superindent, Pablo Curutchet, in both ports.
