According to Alphaliner data, as of July 5, 2025, CMA CGM Group’s total operating capacity exceeded 4 million TEUs, reaching 4,014,290 TEUs, making it the third liner company after Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and Maersk to achieve this milestone.

Currently, CMA CGM operates a fleet of 685 vessels, including 332 owned vessels (2,396,604 TEUs) and 353 leased vessels (1,617,686 TEUs), with leased capacity accounting for 40.3% of the total. Additionally, CMA CGM has 94 vessels on order, with a capacity of 1,489,480 TEUs, representing 37.1% of its total operating capacity—second only to MSC in terms of order book size.
Data shows that CMA CGM’s total capacity has quadrupled over the past 16 years. According to Alphaliner statistics, in June 2009, CMA CGM surpassed 1 million TEUs, reached 2 million TEUs in 2016, and exceeded 3 million TEUs in 2021.
