Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” LINE) has introduced a new AI-based cybersecurity platform ‘Cybereason’ from Cybereason Japan. In addition, “K” LINE has adopted the company’s /analysis service ‘Cybereason Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service’, to enhance the cybersecurity of ship-shore communication.
Cybereason aims to enhance a ship’s preventive security measures and strengthen response following intrusions. It includes Next Generation Anti-Virus (NGAV) solutions that detect and block all types of malware, including known and unknown malware, ransomware and fileless malware by malicious PowerShell, with dedicated defence layers such as signature-based and machine learning.
Cybereason also includes Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), a service that detects and responds to cyber-attacks in real-time by continuously monitoring the endpoint environment and analysing the behaviour of attacks by a unique AI-based analysis engine.
As part of the Cybereason MDR service, cybersecurity experts monitor the shipboard security 24/7. This unified cybersecurity platform and security monitoring service will enhance the shipboard cyber resilience of the “K” LINE vessels both before and after threat intrusions.
