Recently, Kongsberg Maritime of Norway announced the signing of a framework agreement for development projects with U.S. offshore drilling company Noble, marking a critical step forward in their joint development of advanced marine technologies in the offshore drilling sector.
This long-term strategic partnership will focus on the collaborative development, piloting, and commercialization of innovative solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, risk assessment capabilities, and sustainability in offshore operations. According to the agreement, the first pilot project between the two parties will commence later this year on the drillship “Noble Sam Croft,” kicking off a series of joint development initiatives.
The cooperation agreement will fully leverage Kongsberg Maritime’s portfolio of vessel technologies alongside Noble’s deep operational expertise and its modern fleet of 21 floating drilling units. The synergy between the two parties is expected to accelerate the innovation cycle, delivering user-centric solutions that create new value for offshore operators.
