Recently, Kongsberg Maritime announced the opening of two new offices in Indonesia, located in Jakarta and Batam. This strategic expansion demonstrates the company’s firm commitment to meeting the growing demands of commercial and government clients in the region.

Kongsberg Maritime will establish dedicated teams at both locations to provide local sales and aftermarket support services, including service and spare parts supply. This move is part of an overall strategy to enhance customer engagement and ensure faster response and support for vessels and operations equipped with Kongsberg Maritime technologies.

The announcement was made during the Inamarine Expo in Jakarta, with the attendance of Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia, Rut Krüger Giverin.

Patrick Banks, Vice President of Aftermarket Sales for Kongsberg Maritime Asia Pacific, stated: “Indonesia is an important and rapidly growing maritime nation, with Jakarta and Batam serving as key hubs. Indonesia is home to over 200 shipyards, with Jakarta being a vital center for shipping operations, government agencies, and maritime trade, while Batam hosts the highest concentration of shipyards and plays a central role in regional shipbuilding and repair.”

He added: “Establishing offices in these two cities allows us to be closer to our customers, respond more swiftly to their needs, and support the entire lifecycle of Kongsberg Maritime products.”

Kongsberg Maritime is a globally leading marine technology company dedicated to delivering innovative and reliable technological solutions across various sectors of the maritime industry, including maritime automation, safety, maneuvering, navigation and dynamic positioning, as well as energy management, deck operations, propulsion systems, and ship design services.
