The extraordinary commissioner of the Autorità di Sistema Portuale dei Mari Tirreno Meridionale e Ionio, Paolo Piacenza, signed the act that ensures to the company Metal Carpenteria the extension of the duration of the maritime state concession in the port of Crotone where the company carries out the welding of metal carpentry modules, partially manufactured in its own workshops and assembled in the port, to be subsequently installed in overseas production plants aimed at the liquefaction treatment of gas. The dimensions of the artifacts require the need to complete their production in a port area so as to ensure their transport by dedicated naval means.
The concession, issued in September of last year, will therefore expire on November 14, 2033, in relation to the industrial investment plan of May 13, 2023 which provides for the expansion of the production range, equipping itself with technologically more advanced plant engineering capable of meeting current and future market demands, and the hiring of 137 new employees in the territory of Crotone. The concession relates to a total area of 17,239 square meters included in the territorial district “Porto Nuovo” of the industrial port area of Crotone.
