The Inspectorate Dock Safety, Kandla Port, has advised that before being taken into operation inside Deendayal oil jetty port premises, all lifting appliances need to be certified by a Government-approved competent person, defined under regulation 2(d), for compliance with regulations 41 and 47 of Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Regulation 1990.
