The LNG carrier freight market recorded losses last week, with rates retreating slightly.
According to a report by the shipbroker Fearnleys, the chartering cost for a /XDF LNG carrier, with a capacity of approximately 174,000 c.m., recorded a drop in the week ending Wednesday, September 10th. Specifically, East of Suez, rates are set at $32,000 daily (-$1,000), while West of Suez they are at $29,000 daily (-$1,000).
Regarding the one-year time charter market, the chartering cost for a /XDF LNG carrier, with a capacity of approximately 174,000 c.m., also decreased by $1,000 and stands at $42,000 daily.
