Maersk Supply Service has bagged a contract for transporting and delivering three wind turbines for a floating wind project off the coast of France, the company announces in a press release.

The order, placed by Eiffage Métal, involves transportation, delivery and installation of three floating wind turbines, each of which has a capacity of 10MW. Maersk Supply Service will also be in charge of procuring and installing mooring systems.

The project has a duration of 18 months, and the offshore operations are planned for Q4 2023.

The turbines will be supplied to the Eoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion in the French Mediterranean.

The contract value has not been disclosed.
