Mammoet’s French unit has been selected by Les Eoliennes Flottantes du golfe du Lion (EFGL) and Euroports France to provide onshore heavy lifting and transport for a floating wind farm project in Port-La Nouvelle, France.
Mammoet has been hire to provideonshore heavy lifting and transport for the offloading, staging and installation of turbine components onto floater for the project.
EFGL is a floating wind farm project developed by Ocean Winds, a joint venture between ENGIE and EDPR dedicated to offshore wind energy, and Banque des Territoires (Groupe Caisse des Dépôts). It consists of three WTGs mounted onto three floaters. Euroports France has been selected as general Service Provider in Port-La Nouvelle where all activities will take place.
Mammoet will use a 1,600 tons capacity crane and SPMT’s axle lines for performing all transport and lifting operations.

Port-La Nouvelle and the floating wind turbines are an essential part of the development of a green electricity strategy of France.
