Marella Cruises’ MD Chris Hackney said rolling out the campaign early will allow customers to budget more effectively for their cruise amid the rising cost of living
Marella Cruises’ latest advert will be shown on UK television as part of its Cruise Month campaign, which is being rolled out early to attract the domestic market.
Until September 30, the ‘Live Happy’ ad will be aired across popular TV channelsincluding daytime slots on ITV, representing the biggest investment ever made by Marella in TV advertising.
It encompasses the experiences passengers can embark on when sailing with Marella, and will be supported across organic and paid social media, email marketing and advertising in the national press.
AIDA Cruises has instead splashed out on outdoor digital advertising with 3D animation.
Building on pre-pandemic demand
‘We’re pleased to be launching our Cruise Month campaign earlier than ever, as we know the demand is out there from consumers,’ explained Chris Hackney, MD, Marella Cruises. ‘We’ve seen bookings for this year bounce back to pre-pandemic levels and we want to build on this for 2023 and beyond.’
Value for money
Hackney went on to say that by launching the advert early, customers will have more time to spread the cost of their voyage – significant given rising costs in the UK.
‘Given the rising cost of living, we know that offering good value for money is crucial, and we continue to offer all-inclusive as standard across our ships, allowing customers to budget more effectively for their cruise.
‘Booking now for next year also means that agents’ clients will have more time to plan and spread the cost of their cruise as required…’
Marella Cruises is offering a £300 discount promotion on selected cruises departing between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, which is valid on agent bookings.
