Maria Skipper Schwenn has stepped down from the International Bunker Industry Association’s (IBIA) global board following her departure from Bunker Holding.
Schwenn, who joined the board on 1 April 2024, resigned from her position after moving to a new role at the Danish Chamber of Commerce.
During her eight-month tenure, Schwenn contributed to the IBIA board’s work, particularly as part of the association’s delegation team at the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The IBIA global board and secretariat thanked Schwenn for her contribution to the association and wished her well in her new position.
The association said the board currently maintains broad industry representation and will wait until board elections later this year to appoint a democratically elected representative to fill the vacant position.
