This morning, in the square of the Italian Navy Headquarters in Naples, the change of command ceremony for the top of the Italian Navy Logistic Command took place. Squadron Admiral Salvatore Vitiello, who is leaving active service due to reaching age limits, handed over command to Squadron Admiral Vincenzo Montanaro, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy, Squadron Admiral Enrico Credendino, and the main civil, military, and religious authorities of the area.

The Italian Navy Logistic Command, established on May 1, 2013, coordinates and directs over 40 bodies and commands dedicated to the technical, maintenance, and infrastructural support activities of the Armed Force, employing approximately 6,000 military and civilian personnel across the national territory.
