MarinaChain has agreed a strategic partnership with HanaLoop to support carbon management initiatives across the shipping, logistics, heavy industries, and manufacturing sectors, integrating AI-driven digital applications with regulatory compliance to help businesses measure and manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
MarinaChain provides AI-powered document automation, carbon accounting, and compliance support for regulations such as the EU ETS and FuelEU, serving clients in shipping, ports, heavy industries, and logistics. HanaLoop offers digital carbon management systems for compliance with K-ETS, EU CBAM, and battery regulations, working with sectors including non-ferrous metals, steel, and automotive.
The partnership will integrate both companies’ platforms to improve emissions calculations and regulatory compliance, with the firms planning to collaborate on joint training programmes to support carbon management strategies while working on the integration of carbon management applications to improve data accuracy and compliance.
The partners also plan to co-develop digital infrastructure and establish Scope 3 emissions standards for the maritime and logistics sector, as well as implement Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of carbon emissions throughout the supply chain.
