Cargo ship Andrey Zuev (IMO 9873125) was in collision with yacht Mahayana off kaleucagiz during the evening of July 30th. No injuries were reported, but the yacht suffered structural damages to its side. The Andrey Zuev was en route from Novorossiysk to Mersin, Turkey. The Turkish Coast Guard attended the incident scene. The Andrey Zuev sustained slight damages to its hull and was adrift at the scene after the accident, but then resumed its voyage.
2019-built, Russia-flagged, 6,305 gt Andrey Zuev is owned and managed by Idel Shipping Co Ltd of St Petersburg, Russia. ISM manager is Inok TM ltd of the same address. As of August 4th the vessel was at Gulluk Anchorage, south-west Turkey.
Fire erupted in engine room of 26-metre motor yacht Good Vibes while it was sailing between Ibiza and the Formentera islands in the Balearics on August 3rd. Spanish SAR
boat Salvamar Acrux responded and the disabled yacht was towed to Ibiza. The yacht’s
guests were evacuated, while the skipper and owner remained on board. The Good Vibes, is 96 gt and was built in 2020 and accommodates eight guests and two crew.
Bulk carrier Wen Feng 18 (IMO 8671867) reportedly suffered a fire in its engine room during the afternoon of August 2nd while proceeding in the approach to Shanghai,carrying a cargo of ore. The vessel had to be anchored in the fairway and was understood to be disabled. The ship’s fire-fighting CO2 system apparently extinguished the fire. It was then anchored as of 21:30 local time with at least three tugs at its side.
