The EASM solution can identify data leaks, misconfigurations, spoofed domains, and vulnerabilities in internet-facing systems, per Marlink.
Marlink has launched the External Attack Surface Management (EASM) solution, aimed at improving cybersecurity for its clients by detecting potential threats proactively.
This initiative follows the establishment of Marlink’s new entity, Marlink Cyber, which focuses on identifying vulnerabilities in external digital infrastructures across various sectors, including maritime, energy, yachting, and enterprise.
As digitalisation increases, many organisations are unaware of the extent to which their digital assets are exposed.
The EASM solution offers continuous and automated protection by detecting potential data leaks, misconfigurations, spoofed domains, and other vulnerabilities across a company’s internet-facing systems.
Key features of the EASM solution include real-time asset discovery, which allows users to map exposed digital assets instantly.
The solution also offers vulnerability detection that helps identify unpatched systems and configuration issues, while threat intelligence integration provides insights from global threat feeds curated by Marlink’s cybersecurity experts.
The EASM solution offers 24/7 monitoring, ensuring that users receive constant protection and expert guidance when necessary.
Additionally, it includes “Dark Web” and credential leak detection, which involves comprehensive scans of the dark web for stolen data and obscure threat actor databases.
Customers can implement the EASM solution without the need for additional hardware or extensive setup time, enabling immediate scanning and protection of their assets upon registration.
Furthermore, the solution supports compliance with international standards such as ISO 27001, assisting clients in maintaining operational security and meeting regulatory requirements.
Marlink Cyber president Nicolas Furge said: “The launch of EASM marks another milestone in Marlink’s mission to redefine cybersecurity standards through constant innovation and customer-centric services.
“EASM is not just about finding vulnerabilities, it’s about gaining full visibility into your network, anticipating threats, and proactively securing your IT assets before hackers can exploit them.”
In February this year, Marlink announced that it is supporting Knutsen Group’s digital transformation by implementing the Sealink NextGen solution across its fleet.
This solution provides high bandwidth and low-latency internet connectivity via LEO services, enhancing applications for sea staff within a secure hybrid network.
