The implementation of the 2024-2029 Industrial Plan of Gestione Navigazione Laghi continues in terms of new personnel recruitment activities. The entity has published a series of new competition notices aimed at strengthening staff and improving the efficiency of transport services on the main Italian lake basins: Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, and Lake Garda.
The recruitment plan provides for the inclusion of new permanent figures in the operational areas of Maintenance, Plants, and Workshops, distributed among the offices of Arona, Como, and Peschiera d/G. In particular, two Technical Operators (par. 170) and two Chief Operators (par. 188) are sought for the Fabbri Workshop (Administration and Services Operational Area), in addition to two Technical Office Assistants (par.175) for the Milan office.
Recruitment activities are also focused on fixed-term positions to ensure the full operation of the 2026 season. Applications are open for 95 “Sailor” positions (par. 121) and for 50 “Generic Operator” positions (par. 116), with service locations distributed in locations with service offices in Como (Co), Bellagio (Co), Griante (Co), Desenzano Del Garda (Bs), Peschiera Del Garda (Vr), Riva Del Garda (Tn), Maderno (Bs).
Fixed-term positions are also planned for specialized figures such as Complex Technical Unit Manager in Como (par. 250) and Administrative Office Assistant in Milan (par.175).
Pietro Marrapodi, government manager of Navigazione Laghi, emphasized the strategic importance of this campaign: “We are working at full capacity in concert with the Ministry to strengthen our staff and aim for a service efficiency that adequately responds to territorial demands. These are opportunities both on a fixed-term basis, ideal for those looking for seasonal work, and on a permanent basis, an opportunity to professionalize within a solid company reality with a stable contract and a good prospect of internal growth within the technical sectors of the lake navigation world.”
With over 150 job positions to be filled overall, the Mit entity “confirms itself as a strategic reality that significantly contributes to generating employment and economy in the lake territories,” concludes the note.
