The group’s president and CEO: “This is how we expand our network and strengthen integrated services for the maritime and logistics sector”

Genoa – – Medov Group has acquired the majority of Programma Mare, a historic company from La Spezia that has innovated traditional packaging methods for the storage and shipping of boats internationally. The announcement comes from Giulio Schenone, president & CEO of Medov Group. The operation, which follows just months after the inauguration in June of the new Janua Algor cold storage warehouse in Genoa Voltri, is part of the development and diversification strategy promoted by the group, with the aim of further expanding the range of services and consolidating its presence in the European maritime, logistics, and port market.

“We are proud to announce the entry of Programma Mare into Medov Group: this acquisition represents a significant step because it strengthens our ability to propose increasingly integrated and innovative solutions in the maritime and logistics sector – stated Schenone – This is an important step for the expansion of our network and for the creation of new synergies for the benefit of customers and partners, who will be able to rely on a complete and unique offering. From maritime agency services and rentals with Medov, Costamed, Amg Chartering, to logistic supply chain and the cold storage warehouses of Medov Logistics and Janua Algor, to container storage and repairs with Derrick, to the agency proposals and luxury hospitality experiences for recreational yachting with San Giorgio Yachting and now also the advanced packaging solutions for yachts of every size.”

“Becoming part of Medov Group means being able to further enhance our know-how and offer customers an even more complete and competitive service – commented Davide Giannoni, partner and CEO of Programma Mare – We are excited to begin this new corporate chapter which will allow us to combine our local roots and our specialist experience with the international and multi-sectoral vision of Medov Group.” Davide Giannoni and Francesco Dazzi, both founding partners, remain in the company with a significant stake and respectively with the roles of CEO and production director.
The acquisition takes on an even more strategic value considering that the La Spezia-based company recently inaugurated a new 1,600 square meter covered logistics warehouse in Sarzana, equipped with 660 pallet spaces, in addition to an external area of equal size.
